  • How can Lemonaid Health help if I experience premature ejaculation?

Our premature ejaculation service provides you with a convenient and affordable way to manage your symptoms, and empowers you to do so appropriately and safely.

You can get the care and advice you need online without having to go to a traditional doctor’s office. Our medical team can prescribe treatment that’s effective for delaying ejaculation.

  • What should I know about premature ejaculation and how can Lemonaid Health treat it?

Premature ejaculation (PE) is characterized by ejaculation that occurs within 60 seconds of penetration or masturbation and the inability to delay ejaculation during sexual stimulation.  Premature ejaculation often causes people to avoid sexual encounters due to anxiety, frustration, or embarrassment.  PE can be caused by a combination of psychological and physical factors.

Persons who suffer from PE may also have erectile dysfunction (ED). Our medical team will determine if treatment for ED is appropriate, as this can sometimes improve the premature ejaculation.  If you have both PE and ED, we’ll treat your ED first, because sometimes the ED treatment can improve your PE. Visit the Lemonaid Health Erectile Dysfunction page to see what options are available for treating ED.

Our medical team may prescribe sertraline, fluoxetine or paroxetine for premature ejaculation. These medications can be prescribed as a daily medication or can be used only as needed before sex.

  • Can I use the Lemonaid Health premature ejaculation service?

You can use the service if you have an assigned birth sex of male, are between the ages of 25 and 72 years old, and you are healthy enough for sexual activity. Our medical team is unable to offer premature ejaculation treatment for males in North Dakota at this time.

Our medical team is not able to treat all patients. If you have a history of suicidal thoughts or actions, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, or serotonin syndrome, we recommend that you see a healthcare provider in person instead of using our service.

  • Can Lemonaid Health treat premature ejaculation remotely?

Our doctors and nurse practitioners can treat premature ejaculation based on your history and self-reported symptoms. Our medical team follows strict guidelines to make sure we only treat you when it's safe and appropriate to do so. It’s important that you answer our questions fully and truthfully, and read any information we provide.

If, for any reason, our doctor or nurse practitioner thinks it’s not safe to treat you, we’ll ask you to see a healthcare provider in person.

  • How do I complete a premature ejaculation service visit?

    1. Create a Lemonaid Health Account.
    2. Complete our simple health questionnaire.
    3. Save your payment information - we won’t charge your card until after your consultation. Many HSA/FSA cards can be used at checkout.
    4. Complete a short consultation with a Lemonaid Health doctor or nurse practitioner. A phone call may be required depending on your state.

Our medical team will then determine if treatment with medication is safe and appropriate for you.

If we prescribe treatment, we can ship your medication directly to you from our own Lemonaid Pharmacy. Shipping is discreet, fast and free. Alternatively, our medical team can send the prescription electronically to your local pharmacy.

  • Are the premature ejaculation treatments provided by Lemonaid Health safe and effective?

There are risks and benefits to taking any medication. It’s important to answer our health questionnaire fully and truthfully so that our medical team can help you make an informed decision about whether the benefits of a medication outweigh the potential risks.

The medications we prescribe are effective when used correctly. Please read the information we provide in your treatment plan to learn more about the risks and benefits of treatment.

  • Why does Lemonaid Health need to know my blood pressure for the premature ejaculation service?

We ask for a recent and accurate blood pressure measurement as part of our health questions to help determine if premature ejaculation (PE) medications are safe and appropriate for you. It can be dangerous to take PE medications if your blood pressure is below or above a certain level.

  • How do I measure my blood pressure for the premature ejaculation service?

You can use an at-home blood pressure monitor that has a cuff for the upper arm and a label on the box stating ‘clinically validated’. We don’t recommend using finger or wrist monitors, as they tend to be less accurate. Always read the instructions carefully.

Many pharmacies have a machine where you can accurately measure your blood pressure for free.

Here are two links to help you find your nearest  Higi machine and Pursuant Health kiosk. Both machines are FDA approved to check blood pressure accurately.

Rest for at least 5 minutes before taking your readings. Wait at least 30 minutes after smoking, eating, drinking caffeine, or exercising.

Take 2 readings, at least one minute apart, on both arms and give us the highest number you record.

  • Why can't I take some premature ejaculation medications with nitrates or nitroglycerin?

Medications that contain nitrates or nitroglycerin taken in combination with some premature ejaculation medications can lower blood pressure unexpectedly, and could be fatal.

  • Why does Lemonaid Health need to know my blood pressure to treat erectile dysfunction?

We ask for a recent and accurate blood pressure measurement as part of our health questions to help determine if erectile dysfunction (ED) medications are safe and appropriate for you. It can be dangerous to take ED medications if your blood pressure is above or below a certain level.

  • How do I measure my blood pressure at home for premature ejaculation?

You can use an at-home blood pressure monitor that has a cuff for the upper arm and a label on the box stating ‘clinically validated’. We don’t recommend using finger or wrist monitors, as they tend to be less accurate. Always read the instructions carefully.
